SUMMER, 2025

CASVA fellowship awarded for 2025

I'm happy to share the good news that I have been awarded a Visiting Fellowship from the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts (CASVA) of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

I have been appointed the Berger Collection Educational Trust Visiting Senior Fellow in British Art, and will be in residence during the Summer of 2025. I'll be working on my new project, "Julia Margaret Cameron's Imperial Shakespeare," an exploration of the ways that Cameron used Shakespearean subjects to express her identification with the expansion of the British empire.  Find more info about the program at:  https://www.nga.gov/research/casva.html
